Using editing gestures

Most editing operations in MoboMath can be performed using your tablet's stylus. You can add to an existing expression or correct one or more characters by writing your changes where you want them to appear and tapping Enter, or you can delete or modify parts of your expression using stylus gestures.

For example, tapping a single character or a selection will give you an alternate recognition result for that part of your entry. Dragging a character or selection to a new position in your expression will move it to that location. Crossing out a character or selection using an X gesture will delete it.

Certain commands such as Enter, Undo, and Clear can also be performed using a stylus gesture, although it is often easier to use the toolbar and menus for these.

Each gesture that is available for a particular action is described in the later topics in this section. For now, you should just remember that a gesture may be the easiest or the only way to perform some operations.
