You often need to select a portion of an expression in order to change it using MoboMath's editing tools.
To select one or more characters in an expression:
Circle or "lasso" the characters you want to select.
If you don't close the circle, your selection gesture may not be recognized. If this happens, erase your ink stroke and try again.
To deselect text:
Tap near the edge of the region containing the expression, just inside the border.
To change the current selection:
Select a new set of characters by circling them. You can include part of your old selection without deselecting it first.
Text remains selected even if its region is not currently selected. This is useful in some editing operations.
By default, selected text is displayed in red, but you can change this in the MoboMath Preferences panel.
