Editing text and numeric values

Your options for editing text and numeric values depend on whether you have just entered and verified an entry by tapping the Check button or whether you are working with an existing entry.

For new entries

If you use the Check button to verify an entry and find that a word has been recognized incorrectly, tap the word once to request an alternate recognition result. You can also request an alternate result for your entire entry by tapping the Check button again.

If you don't get the right result the first time you tap, you can continue tapping the word or the Check button until you get the correct result.

For any entry

Any of the techniques described in Editing cell contents can be used to modify newly-entered or existing text and numeric values.

For text entries, you can add new text above, below, or after an existing value to extend it. Once your additions are recognized, they are merged into your entry at the appropriate locations.
