The Configuration wizard lets you include or exclude certain characters and types of expressions from the set that MoboMath will recognize. If you choose to exclude some of these, MoboMath will operate more quickly and accurately.
The Configuration wizard runs the first time you start MoboMath. You can rerun it from the Grammar menu at any time to adjust the types of expressions and characters that you use.
One page of the configuration wizard suggests a number of characters to disable – letters like o, O and l that are very confusable with digits. If you disable these you can still use them in function names, such as log or cos.
The Character dialog and Expressions dialog provide more detailed control over MoboMath's character set and expression types. For example, you can turn all Greek characters on or off with the Configuration wizard, and then make a few exceptions in the Character dialog. See the topic on Recommended character configuration for specific suggestions.
The wizard presents a series of pages. On each page you can check or uncheck a number of expression or character types to include or exclude them from the recognition set. No changes are actually made until you click the Done button.
If a particular category is partially enabled when you start the wizard (for example, if some but not all Greek characters are enabled), the check box for that category is disabled.
