Privacy Policy

Enventra respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This document explains what information we collect and how it is used. Except for the limited circumstances described below, we do not share your personal information with third parties. We do not loan, rent, or sell your personal information to others.

General web site use

When you visit our web site, we collect general statistical information such as pages you visit, length of your visit, and files downloaded. This information does not identify you personally and is maintained and used only on a collective basis with that of all other web site visitors to help us improve the quality and usability of our site. We do not track your individual browsing patterns, and all information collected is anonymous.

Online purchases

When you purchase a product from our online store, we collect personal information such as your name, address, email address, and payment information needed to complete your transaction. This information is used to process your order and to send you instructions for downloading, installing, and activating the products you purchased. We retain your name, address, and email address so that we can notify you of important future product updates and new releases. If you choose to purchase Extended Download Service for one of our products, the information necessary to provide you that service is also retained during the Extended Download Service period.

Enventra uses RegNow, a division of Digital River, as its e-commerce provider. RegNow handles all billing and product delivery on our behalf and provides a highly secure and robust e-commerce platform to protect your transactions. Your personal information is collected by or shared with RegNow in order for them to provide this service, and their privacy policy also applies to your e-commerce transactions. Support forums

You may browse our support forums freely without disclosing any personal information.  If you want to post a message to our forums, you will have to register as a user by providing a username and password of your choice together with your email address. We use the email address you enter only to verify you as a legitimate user, notify you of new replies to a post if you ask to be notified, and respond to any questions you post that should be answered privately rather than in a public forum.

Product Improvement Program

The Product Improvement Program helps us enhance handwriting recognition in our products by uploading portions of users’ handwritten input together with the recognition results they receive and other supporting information. This information is uploaded to a secure server where it is analyzed for any recognition issues that can be corrected to improve the accuracy and performance of future releases. All uploads are performed in the background and do not interfere with your use of the product. The information uploaded varies from product to product but does not include personally identifiable information or any files that are used in conjunction with our products. Please see the documentation, help, or online FAQs for your product for more details on what information is transmitted.

You may choose whether to participate in this program during product installation or through your product’s user interface, usually through an Options dialog. You may opt in or out of the program at any time.

All users are assigned an anonymous Support ID, which can be found in the About box for your product. Your Support ID is associated with any data uploaded through the Product Improvement Program.  If you participate in the program and need to contact us about an error you encountered, please include your Support ID. This may allow us to pinpoint the error in your uploaded data and resolve your problem more quickly.

If you use an error reporting tool in one of our products to notify us of a problem, data from your current session will be uploaded for error analysis even if you have not joined the Product Improvement Program.

This web site may contain links to other sites with their own privacy practices. While we will only include links to reputable sites, we are not responsible for nor can we control the privacy standards or content of those web sites, so you should carefully review the privacy policies of any linked sites you choose to visit.

Required disclosures

We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we are required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with legal processes, protect our rights and property, protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our software or web site, or protect against actual or threatened harmful conduct.

Subject to change
