This new release of MoboCalc includes the following important improvements:

  • MoboCalc now supports non-English language versions of Excel and installations where the language version of Microsoft Office does not match the Windows locale setting (for example, an English version of Excel on a French or German version of Windows). Previously, MoboCalc could fail to operate properly in these situations. Also, MoboCalc now recognizes local decimal and list separators, date and time formats, and currency symbols. More information for international users is available here.
  • When entering long formulas, users can now wrap the formula onto multiple lines as they write. Previously, formula entry was restricted to a single line. As in earlier versions, long text entries may also be written on multiple lines, and editing is supported on all displayed lines of a formula or text entry.
  • The recognition of file and sheet names has been improved, making it easier to reference cells in other worksheets or files when entering a formula. Recognition of complex range references has also been improved.
  • A number of enhancements have been made to formula editing, making it easier to correct errors or modify existing entries.
  • In previous versions of MoboCalc, running multiple Excel sessions at the same time could result in ink from one Excel session being received by another session. This problem has now been corrected.
  • Error messages have been improved for a variety of situations to offer better guidance to users.
  • MoboCalc 1.1 also includes many other changes to enhance stability, accuracy, and functionality.

This upgrade is recommended for all current MoboCalc users.
