Entering new input

In MoboMath, you create math expressions by writing them. After you complete each expression, MoboMath converts it to formatted math.

To create a math expression:

  • Write your expression with a stylus on an external tablet. MoboMath displays your handwritten input as digital ink while you write.

  • After you finish writing, ask MoboMath to translate your handwritten input to formatted math by tapping the Enter toolbar button or using another entry technique.

Although you will normally get much better results with a tablet, mouse and trackpad input are also supported.

To convert handwritten input to formatted math:

Use one of the following techniques.

  • Tap the Enter button in the toolbar with your stylus.

  • Use an Enter gesture as described below.

  • Press the Return key on your keyboard.

To write an Enter gesture:

  • Draw an Enter gesture like this, first moving down and then to the left with your stylus.

    Enter gesture

  • Be sure to write the gesture well away from your entry and any other math regions so it is not interpreted as additional input.

Your gesture is displayed as ink while you write, but it will be erased as soon as it is interpreted. If it is not recognized correctly, erase the stroke and try again.
